We compiled data from the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) to put together our list. On their list of the top ten high paying jobs, the top eight are in the medical field, including surgeons, obstetricians, anesthesiologists, general internists, general pediatricians, psychiatrists, family and general practitioners.

10. Natural Science Manager

Highest Salary: $97,560 – high paying jobs in this field supervise other scientists, chemists, biologists, and geologists. They are usually employed by pharmaceutical companies or municipalities. Many employees in this field work for consulting and/or testing firms, working in research and development.

9. Marketing Manager

Highest Salary: $100,000 – just about every industry requires marketing expertise to handle public relations, brand development and management, the development of complete marketing collaterals and financial metrics and analytics. A bachelor’s degree is generally required; a master’s degree is strongly preferred for these high paying jobs.

8. Computer and Information Systems Manager

Highest Salary: $134,090 – a person can be a pilot if they are 18 years old and have 1,500 hours of flight experience. Commercial pilots must be age 23 and pass a variety of tests.
